Liam Fox and Nicole Barber-Lane have split up after 16 years of marriage.
The soap couple - who play Emmerdale's Dan Spencer and Hollyoaks' Myra McQueen - revealed the shock news in a joint statement but insisted they will remain close for the sake of their children.
